Due to the extreme rain funding in Chennai the Chennai Corporation has informed the public to stock up on food and neccesaties at fast and cut off to go near water bodies or low lying areas as water was making it’s way down. Extreme rain fall spawning flash floods has begun over coastal areas of Tamil nad started off the early hours of today .
The greater Chennai Corporation on wednesday said the early preparation and monitoring efforts has been continuing as the metrological department ‘s forecast came of heavy rain fall will hit in Chennai and districts near by.
The weather department also issued a red alert in Chennai , Thiruvallor and Rani pet district for Thursday. And the authorities asked people to not to reach out in highways destroying sustained rains.
According to IMD bulletin , a low pressure area is lying over South East and neighbouring South west bay of Bengal teamed up with cyclonic circulation spread out up to 5.8 Km above mean sea level.
