Suresh Kumar and Mohan Lal were friends since 5 th standard . Both of them studied in Trivandrum Model school. And their elder brother’s were studied the same school as well. Two of them were very much interested in watching movies in those days. When they get in to college classes they only think Cinema and Cinema only.
They were bunk the classes and engaged in film discussion those days.
In the first Movie they were planned besides Manjarikulam road in Trivandrum. Both of them having no money to take off a movie with budget . So they take a decision to approach a producer who were in Trivandrum area. Ashok Kumar, Suresh Kumar and Mohanlal meet up the producer and started discussing the first plot with him.
And he finally said ‘Yes ‘ for the movie production. At that time Priyadarshan was not with them. He spend more time to bawl out them with harsh talks calling them feather brains don’t know anything about cinema.
After a month long battle producer became hallow pocket so the film halt for a while. So Suresh Kumar along with Ashok come off to Kollam and pick up another producer and the film got a little life span. This time they called up Priyadarshan to rewrite script. The movie was a derailment of thoughts or mental uneasiness of a women . The story was a huge impact among society. So the Censor Board cut off the scenes and said no certificate will be issued. Before that Suresh Kumar with Mohanlal reached Chennai and take up final copy of the movie. Suresh Kumar still remember the Clap board who catch up before Mohanlal at the very first film entry in Malayalam cinema. The Clap board was not the same as the Clap board used now a days.
It was big and the guy who clapped first was not known anything about clap board. Any how they managed to release the movie for one day tickets. That movie name was “ Thira Nottam”.
After the first film release Mohanlal shuttled towards film sets to show off his face.
His first break through movie was Manjil virinja pookal. On those days along with Mohan lal Priyadarshan made a maiden visit in shooting site. Loads of youngsters are there with the cap of assistant Director’s. With out know who is Priyadarshan Director Fazil asked him to pick up the Clap board and say take one. He obeyed what he said. That was his first appearance as a assistant Director.
After a few years Priya Darshan with his film discernment and experience became number one Director in Indian cinema world. Mohan lal become finest actor . And Suresh Kumar reached the Spot of renowned producer of the filmdom.
